❌ Why you should never buy fake reviews or fake followers

Don’t make this mistake

Estimated reading time: 1 minutes and 42 seconds

Hello everyone! This week we are focusing on a topic that comes to mind whenever a business owner wants to enhance their social media presence.

Is everyone ready?

Let’s dive in.

I want my Instagram profile to have 10,000 followers or I want 100 5-star reviews on my Google Business profile.

I’ve heard these phrases many times before, and each time I advised my clients to never, and I mean never, buy fake followers or reviews or anything that’s fake, basically.

Why is that, you may ask?

Sure, your profile will look cool with loads of followers, but your engagement will be zero.

You will soon realize that you don’t have a business online at all, and those are just numbers.

The same goes for Google My Business.

People know when the reviews are fake or something is not right, and they will avoid you because of that.

BUT the biggest thing here is that Google now knows if the reviews are fake or not, and it will remove them or, worse, delete your profile.

This can hurt your business so much as it will not appear in searches at all, and you will miss so many opportunities.

So please, never, ever buy fake followers or fake reviews.

It’s okay for a business to have 100 legit followers on Instagram and 3 reviews on Google.

You worked hard on building your business, and the same goes for your digital assets.

They will be built in time with a lot of effort and based on real people and real reviews.

It will be so rewarding!

There are strategies to grow your accounts with real followers or get real Google reviews from your past clients, and I will talk about those in the coming weeks.

Keep an eye on your inbox for more.

Good to know:

  • Google Maps now warns customers about fake reviews for local businesses. It’s also removing the reviews automatically.

  • Advertising: Humor sells, yet people are not using funny ads. Statistics show that 90% of customers are more likely to remember your product, and 80% are more likely to buy again. Yet, only 33% of ads actually use humor. Try a funny ad next time.
