đź™… Why you should create content for the people, not for the algorithm
And how to do this
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes and 5 seconds
Hello everyone, welcome back to another edition of doyousocial.
Today I have something really good for you, and it will change the way you think about your content creation process.
Is everyone ready?
Let’s dive in.
I see many business owners struggling to follow “trends” in the hopes of getting more views, likes, or followers.
By doing this, they forget their brand values and what they actually want to achieve from their marketing efforts.
Sure, we all want sales and clients, but that’s not how you build a brand online.
You don’t need to add a trendy song to your Instagram reel so the algorithm can push your reel to other people.
You don’t need to create content using a silly trend that doesn’t fit your brand guidelines and values.
You don’t need to listen to all the gurus telling you to always do something that will trick the algorithms into giving you more reach, more followers, or whatever they promise you.
I’m gonna tell you a secret right here.
This stuff doesn’t work.
You will NOT get more reach by doing all that. Instead, you should focus on actually creating quality content that will resonate with your target audience.
The algorithm will slowly learn who your audience is and will distribute your content to them because the end goal on social media is to make users stay online as much as possible.
Your content will help you get there, not that trendy song added on top of a rushed reel.
Take a step back and do what you really love.
Work on your business with passion, help people, solve their problems, and the results will come!
Don’t get lost in “hacks” and other tricks that promise you the world. You are chasing hope, but I can tell you right now that nothing will happen.
Think about it.
This content reaches you because you’re interested in growing your business online, and this means that your content will reach your target audience if you put in a bit of effort and improve your quality.
Makes sense, doesn’t it?
Yes, it does, because that’s how algorithms work.
Digital Marketing Simplified
What is the bounce rate?
This is a metric that measures the percentage of visitors who leave a website without interacting further.
It’s super important because you can quickly see if the quality of your website traffic is good or bad.
You can see your bounce rate in Google Analytics.
Good to know:
TikTok is back in the US.
Instagram has increased the reels length to 3 minutes.
Instagram will launch a new mobile video editing app called “Edits.”
