Hey friends, hope you are all having a great holiday season with your loved ones!

I’m sending this email because I know most business owners don’t really take breaks, especially when you work on something that you are passionate about (like me right now).

My goal is to help each and every one of you succeed online and get the most out of your online presence, and today we will focus on 5 quick things that you can implement to see real results.

Let’s dive in.

#1 Understand that hoping and praying is not a digital marketing strategy.

Nothing will happen if you just post stuff online. It can get overwhelming with all the social media platforms…where to start? Which one is the best for you? How can I actually bring clients to my business?

Take a step back and create a simple strategy to optimize your profiles everywhere. If you have a physical address, make sure your Google business profile is optimized correctly and you are actually being active there.

Same goes for other platforms. I’ve seen countless businesses that didn’t have a proper bio description alongside their website and a phone number.

How can a customer contact you if you are not making these things easy?

Your main goal should be to improve your social proof everywhere and ask for reviews all the time.

Why?

Because that’s how you build a great reputation, and more clients will pick you because of that.

#2 Double down on what’s working.

Have you discovered that a particular platform works better for you? Good, double down on that.

I want you to offer the best customer experience ever while replying to every single comment that you get. Interact with people, be active, build a community around your business/product, and the results will come.

A lot of business owners get lost in all the online trends, and they could easily double their revenue just by focusing on what’s already working. Getting a lot of engagements on Instagram and Facebook? Focus on that!

Are Google Ads converting better than TikTok ads? Move all your budget to Google and focus on doubling your revenue.

Don’t get lost in trying everything. You need to focus on what’s working for you and then explore other opportunities. Trying everything at once is a big mistake that will consume all your marketing budget.

#3 Understand that it’s a pay-to-win game.

I’m gonna be very realistic with all of you because, as I mentioned before…I really want to help you succeed, but most of the time it will be very hard to achieve this unless you have a really cool product that will sell by itself or you can go viral.

Nothing will happen if you start an Instagram account and post pictures with your products.

These things take a lot of time to work by themselves.

I want to change your perspective from “this doesn’t work” to “I’m investing time in building my digital assets.”

It takes time to have an established business online, but it will work if you stick to it.

However, if you want to speed things up, you need to invest in advertising, but not before you have a strategy in place in terms of who your customers are and how you can reach them.

I’m not talking about “boosting posts” on Instagram. I’m referring to real ads that bring you business.

#4 Focus on building your online reputation

I truly believe that this is the best thing you can do online.

You should collect reviews from people all the time and include them in your social media calendar. Your profiles will look amazing when you run ads.

Your clients are smart, and they will make decisions based on previous experiences from other people.

#5 Start a YouTube Channel

Yes, this is a very powerful thing that you can do. Think of how you can create videos around your products or business and start uploading videos.

Think about it, most TikTok Influencers are switching to YouTube because of the ad revenue.

This means that a lot of businesses are running ads over there, correct? However, this also means that the audience on YouTube is well-defined and has money to buy stuff.

I’ve been working with a client that was building eco-friendly homes, and 90% of his clients came from YouTube organically without spending anything on advertising.

How did he do it? He documented every single step of the construction process and answered all the questions that you might think of, which offered a lot of value to potential customers.

He also focused on #4 on our list, which is building your online reputation, and that’s how YouTube became his most important digital asset.

Not Facebook, not Instagram, not TikTok.

Best of all, his videos were getting between 200 and 700 views, and this shows that you don’t need a lot of views…you just need the right views, and YouTube is excellent at suggesting content to the right people.

#6 BONUS - Explore live shopping.

I believe that live shopping will be massive in the next few years, and it has already been proven to be successful with TikTok, but there are other platforms that were made just for that.

Whatnot is a platform focused on live shopping, and there are already many businesses going live and selling their stuff.

How does live shopping work? Businesses go live and feature their products while viewers ask questions and get answers quickly.

This is super powerful, and we will see more people adopting live shopping, especially because you can buy things quickly within the app without adding your shipping address, etc.

Imagine if you create something custom-made with limited availability? People will want to quickly buy that from you, and you should explore platforms that support live shopping.

What is a pixel or a tracking code?

These are used to track user activity across your website and help collect data like who visited your website, what products they checked, and how many purchases you received from your ads.

This is the foundation of all digital marketing because you want to collect important data that will be used to make your ads successful.

Otherwise, you are simply spending money and hoping for the best.

Good to know:

  • Instagram will introduce AI video elements that will let you transform your videos completely.

  • Advertisers spent the most money on Facebook (36.3%) when it comes to social media ads, followed by Instagram (27.5%), YouTube (15.5%), TikTok (9.5%), LinkedIn (4.5%), Snapchat (3%), Pinterest (2.7%), and X (0.8%).
