🤔 Should you post old content again?

Let’s find out!

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes and 4 seconds

Hello everyone, welcome back to another edition of doyousocial where I teach business owners how to have success online using their digital marketing.

Last week, I asked you to let me know what kind of business you have and what’s your biggest struggle right now so I can help you with free custom tips that you can apply to your business.

I received so many replies and I promise to get back to every single one of you.

You can still reply to this email if want some free custom tips :)

Alright, let’s begin!

Should you post old content?

Many business owners are afraid (and pressured) to create new content all the time on their social media profiles, but it doesn’t have to be like that.

Sure, you definitely cannot post the same thing over and over, but you can 100% reuse your most successful content.

I managed some big social media profiles with 1 million+ followers and I used to repost winning content all the time.

Why?

Because it works!

Think about it.

A winning piece of content will perform great again and again. Even if the performance will not be exactly the same as the original post, you will still get a lot more engagement and views compared to your normal content.

It’s totally fine to repost your top-performing content and maybe add a twist by using a different caption and seeing how it will perform.

You don’t need to have a huge audience to try this.

Top-performing content means content that outperformed your other posts, even if it has reached just a few hundred people more.

You should also post your most successful content to a new platform because there is a totally new audience that hasn't seen your content yet.

Don’t be afraid to experiment and reuse your best pieces of content because you might be surprised by the results.

Digital Marketing Simplified

What is evergreen content?

Evergreen content is a type of content that remains relevant and valuable to readers over a long period of time.

You should focus on creating this type of content for your business because you can reuse it again in the future or when you decide to join a new platform.

Good to know:

  • WordPress is in danger of shutting down due to WP Engine’s ongoing lawsuit. You never know if this might actually happen, but it's a good idea to look for alternatives if your website is hosted on WordPress.

  • Google’s search market share dipped below 90% for the first time since 2015.

  • TikTok: It looks like a ban in the US might actually happen, but is Elon Musk interested in buying TikTok US? Let's wait and find out
