I've been working with many businesses over the years, and I can quickly tell if a business owner wants results instantly or if they have the patience to see the strategy work over time.
Imagine this scenario: you have a couple of followers on social media, but you are barely getting any likes, comments, reach, and have 0 website traffic.
What do you do in this case? Give up? Fire your social media manager or hire someone to help you in case you are handling everything by yourself?
Everything starts with a step back.
Take a breather and understand who your audience is, where they spend their time, and how you can reach them.
Want to speed things up? Ad campaigns work wonders with the right targeting.
Low budget? No worries! Have the patience to build your brand online and try different things that will help you get the most out of social media profiles.
Yes, organic reach is limited, but that doesn’t mean you cannot collect dividends from social media in 1, 2, or 5 years from now :)
You are in this for the long term, and building brands takes time.
And let me tell you a secret. Taking time is actually what you need!
You want to optimize your social media profiles, create amazing content, create lead magnets to get leads from social media, etc.
You are basically starting your business again, but online.
Action step:
Analyze your overall digital marketing approach and see if things are working or not.
Look at your social media profiles and see which one is working best for you and understand why that happens.
Look at how many people you’ve reached in the last 30, 60, 90 days and with what type of content.
Found something that works? Do more of that!
Your ad campaigns are not working, but you are spending money?
You might not be spending enough to get things going, which happens quite often, especially with Google Ads.
Think about your end goal.
Do you want people to call you from your social media profiles?
Do you have your phone number in the profile bio?
Are you using a call to action on every post to encourage people to call you for more details?
A simple analysis can help you more than you can imagine.
