Your most important digital asset

No, it's not your social media profiles.

Hey there, business owner! It’s good to have you back here with us.

I’m getting asked all the time about what is the most important social media platform or where I should focus my attention as a business owner. Is it Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, or something else?

Long story short, none of these.

What matters the most is your online reputation, a.k.a. your reviews. Having a strong online presence is important, but nothing beats a business with loads of 5-star reviews and excellent comments from past clients.

Think about it…

What do people do when they search for a particular business or service on Google? They find a few options and then go and read the reviews from past clients. Having hundreds of positive reviews (not all 5 stars because nobody is perfect) can increase your chances of getting new customers.

Action step:

Now that you know this, what should you do next? Focus on getting those reviews instead of getting comments on social media.

Follow up with past clients and ask them if they are satisfied with their order. If so, send them a link to leave you a review on Google My Business, Facebook, or TrustPilot.

Are you receiving positive messages on your social profiles? Ask them for reviews!

Do you sell a service? You should have a link in your email signature that will help people leave reviews quickly on your Google My Business Profile.

Have partners or collaborators? Ask them for a review!

Trust me, everything will add up in the end. This simple strategy will make such a huge difference in the future when someone is ready to purchase your product or service.

Hope this makes sense and that it will change your perspective on what really matters online.

Thank you for your time today!

See you next week, when we’ll talk about a marketing strategy that will transform the way people see your company. It’s so obvious, and I can’t believe that only very few people are actually using it.

See you online,

Alex.
