5 Simple Steps for Brand Building
Estimated reading time: 3 minutes and 28 seconds
Hey friends, last week we discussed how Alex Hormozi managed to sell $100M worth of books in 24 hours, and everything was based on his brand.
Today, I want to give you 5 simple steps that will help you build your brand on social media and, most importantly, make you memorable.
Is everyone ready?
Let’s dive in.
What does it really mean to build a brand?
Well, to put it simply, brand building makes you memorable.
It is not just your colors or your logo…it’s the total impression your brand leaves on someone.
You want people to recognize you.
Remember you.
And, most importantly, trust you.
So how do you do that?
I have 5 simple steps that will help you get there.
Let’s start.
1) Make your brand easy to recognize and easy to buy
What to do this week
• Choose 2–3 brand elements (like a color, font, tone of voice, or a phrase) and use them everywhere.
• Add these to your profile photo, bio, story highlights, templates, and ads.
• Make sure the link in your bio works, your website loads quickly, and checkout is simple.
Why it matters
A consistent look makes your brand memorable.
A smooth buying process reduces drop-offs and leads to more sales.
2) Get clear on your positioning before you post more
What to do this week
First, write a short positioning statement for yourself.
It should cover:
Who your competitors are
What makes you different
Why that difference matters to customers
Who you serve
The category you want to win in
Proof that backs you up
Next, turn the key message from that statement into something simple for your audience, like a pinned post, a short video, or a recurring theme in your content.
Why it matters
The written statement gives you clarity so you’re not guessing what to say online.
Sharing a simplified version with your audience makes it easy for them to understand who you are and why they should choose you.
3) Use the “pillar to micro” method for more content with less effort
What to do this week
• Record one main “pillar” piece of content each week (like a talk, demo, or customer story).
• Break it into smaller posts: reels, quotes, carousels, or stories.
• Share these across platforms and link back to your main offer.
Why it matters
One big piece of content can fuel a week of posts, saving you time while keeping your brand visible and consistent.
4) Balance reach with community
What to do this week
• For reach: boost posts, collaborate with creators, and use trending formats.
• For community: reply to comments, ask questions, and highlight customers.
• Test if people remember your brand assets (like your color or slogan).
Tip for the test: Drop a casual post: “When you think of us, what comes to mind first?”
Why it matters
Growth comes from reaching new people, but loyalty comes from community.
Doing both means you’re always attracting new followers while strengthening relationships with existing ones.
That’s how you turn attention into long-term customers.
5) Use paid ads to grow faster
What to do this week
• Set a simple budget (start with 5–10% of revenue).
• Spend slightly above your current market share to increase visibility.
• Split budget: half for awareness ads, half for sales-focused ads.
Run brand ads that tell your story and performance ads that drive action.
Keep your campaigns consistent rather than stopping and starting.
Why it matters
Paid ads let you reach the right people at scale.
A steady ad plan builds recognition, lowers acquisition costs, and helps you grow faster than competitors.

Build Your Brand on Social Media
Your brand is what people remember about you, not just your logo or products. Every post, story, and ad should make them think:
“I know this business, I trust them, and I’d buy from them.”
Quick steps:
Pick a signature style: Use the same color, font, or tone everywhere.
Be clear on your promise: Show what makes you different and why it matters.
Reuse content: Turn one video or story into multiple posts.
Engage your audience: Reply to comments and spotlight customers.
Invest in ads wisely: Small, consistent campaigns grow awareness and sales.
Consistent, clear, and engaging brands build trust, attract loyal customers, and grow faster.
