I just came back from a relaxing family holiday and I realized something that so many business owners are forgetting, and this is more important than your products or services.

Often times we look online to buy something or search for a particular service, and so many times we end up buying from the same place even though you can find the same products or services in many other places.

But why is that?

The short answer is because of the experience.

You had a great experience before and you want that again when you are repeating your purchase.

Business owners focus so much on the products or the services that they forget about the customer experience.

How are you interacting with your customers?

Are you helping them with their questions in a polite way?

Are you making them feel special even if they bought something that's not expensive?

Are you following up with them, asking them for reviews, understanding their needs better?

So many things can be done that can improve the customer experience, and I genuinely believe that you can win customers that will stay with you for a very long time just because of the experience.

I wrote about handwritten thank-you notes for new customers so many times, but this simple thing can transform the customer experience in such a positive way.
