💸 Does Advertising Still Work?

Let’s find out.

Hey friends!

Welcome to another edition of doyousocial.

Today we will focus on advertising and whether it still works.

I’ll answer some important questions today, so let’s dive in.

I’ve heard countless times before from small business owners that advertising doesn’t work for their business. They tried Meta, Google, YouTube, you name it.

However, when I asked what their budget was, all of them said this using different words:

“I wanted to start small and test, and then increase when I start seeing results.”

Ok, this is totally understandable, but advertising in 2025 doesn’t work like that.

Let’s say you want to run some Google ads for your business, but you want to allocate only $500 per month until you see some results and then invest more.

You have a cost per click of $25, which means you can generate 20 clicks for your budget.

Let’s say you get one sale or client from this.

Google needs 30 conversions in the last 30 days (sales, leads, phone calls, etc.) to optimize correctly and show your ads to the right audience.

There is a timeline that Google Ads managers use to train the algorithm with data, which is based on the last 90 days, with the last 30 days being the most important.

If we do the simple math, we will quickly see that the only one winning from this situation will be Google, which will take your money from ads, and you will end up with no data at the end of these 90 days.

The same goes for Meta. Clicks might be a bit cheaper, but the targeting is done differently on Facebook and Instagram.

You cannot have success with $10 to $15 per day when you sell a product that’s priced at $50 or more.

Ok, so how do you do it?

Let’s say you sell a product that’s worth $100. You will need at least this amount in daily spending to make advertising work for you.

Your goal should be to generate at least 10 clicks daily to make ads work for you.

I believe Google Ads are excellent if you have the right budget, and I’ve been managing accounts for many years with all sorts of budgets.

You should allocate as much as you can afford because otherwise, you will 100% lose your money and get nothing in return.

Can you afford $5000 per month for three months?

Do that, and see how the magic happens.

I’m ready to onboard five new people who want to take their Google Ads to the next level or start running Google Ads.

Best of all, I won’t charge you anything for 30 days, so you can get all the advice possible and see if you can actually make Google Ads work for you.

Already running Google ads? Let me do an audit and see if there are any opportunities left on the table.

Digital Marketing Simplified

How do you run ads on Google Maps?

This is done by simply adding a location asset to your campaign after connecting your Google Business profile to your ad account.

You need to have your address added correctly to Google Business, and everything will be done automatically by Google.

Good to know:

  • YouTube will change how it measures views on YouTube Shorts. They will now measure all appearances.

  • TikTok has retired its separate Notes app.

  • Instagram is experimenting with AI-generated comments on posts. Is this a good idea?
