Do a Random Act of WOWness
Everything will change
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes and 11 seconds
Hello, friends! Hope you are all having an amazing week!
Today, I want to help you by making your business stand out.
How?
Let me explain the random act of WOWness.
I am reading a book called Delivering Happiness: A Path to Profits, Passion, and Purpose by Tony Hsieh.
It’s the story behind Zappos, a company that was acquired by Amazon for $1.2 billion.
Every business owner should read this book, no matter if you have a small business or a big enterprise.
There are so many valuable lessons in this book, but one really stuck with me.
Customer support.
The entire company was built on and focused on customer support, in every single department.
Then I asked myself...
How many businesses are actually customer-focused?
Like, really customer-focused?
Customer support should be your priority if you want to stand out from the competition.
In today’s online world, many businesses are creating amazing content, but they forget about how they interact with their customers.
Are you responding quickly to inquiries?
Are you putting the customer first all the time, no matter the situation?
Are you making sure that all your customers are satisfied after working with you or buying from you?
Are you surprising your customers with fast shipping times?
All these small gestures will help you build a brand that stands out, and you should do everything possible to have happy customers and create that WOWness factor.
Let’s say someone is upset because they received the wrong order from you.
What do you do?
Do you offer to replace the order for free?
How about a handwritten note to apologize, plus a free product that fits their initial order (not just a discount for their next order)?
How about sending the correct order again while also offering a full refund?
Yes, you cannot do this all the time, but that’s how you handle delicate cases and win customers.
They will order from you again, even after this experience.
Why?
Because you assured them that you would do anything possible to make sure they get what they want, and that’s brand building.
Read the book. You will love it.
Digital Marketing Simplified
How do you find a winning social media strategy?
Look back at your insights from the last 30, 60, or 90 days and identify pieces of content that stand out in terms of reach, comments, and likes.
Prepare your next content calendar with more posts that worked in the past, and try new stuff as well.
Analyze again, and repeat.
You will be surprised by how much you can learn from this.
Good to know:
Facebook: Live streams will now be removed after 30 days.
Instagram: A new tool called “downvotes” will be introduced to combat negative comments (still in testing at the moment).
BuzzFeed will launch its own more positive social media platforms. Looking forward to seeing this!
