🤔 Should your business have a YouTube channel?

It is one of the most valuable platforms in the world after all.

Estimated reading time: 2 minutes and 45 seconds

Hello friends! This week, we are focusing on something that is not talked about enough, and that is YouTube.

Should you create a YouTube channel for your business? The short answer is yes.

Allow me to explain why YouTube is one of the most valuable platforms in the world for YOUR business.

Let’s dive in.

When we think about YouTube, we think about funny cat videos, Mr. Beast, or something else that comes to mind, and most of it is from a creator's standpoint of view.

However, YouTube can be used for business as well, and the results can be huge!

YouTube is the second most visited website in the world (after Google) and more and more people are actually searching on YouTube as well, not just Google.

Think about it, you can find a lot of tutorials on YouTube on everything you can imagine, and many businesses can take advantage of this.

Not just that, but you can also show behind the scenes and help people to get to know your brand while showcasing products or services.

I’ve actually worked with a client in the real estate development industry, and he was documenting every single process of building a house on his YouTube channel.

By doing this, he was answering so many questions that his potential clients might have.

Stuff like: what materials should you use to soundproof your home? What type of windows are the best? And so many other questions that add so much value for a customer.

And guess what, YouTube was the top platform for him in terms of getting leads, and everything was done organically!

You don’t need to get lost in the numbers and focus on getting tons of views. You just need the right people to watch your videos, even if they have 100 views or less.

And YouTube is great at recommending content to the right people, so in time it will showcase your videos to your target audience… for free.

You don’t need expensive equipment; you can do amazing things with the bare minimum like your smartphone.

Don’t make the mistake of focusing on shiny things like the social media platforms only and understand that this is an attention game. You need to be where most of the attention is and use that platform to your advantage.

YouTube can be a game-changer for anyone, not just content creators, and it can be like your second website to generate organic leads.

Action step:

I really hope you will consider starting a YouTube channel and I want to help you with some ideas for easy content:

  • Behind the scenes videos in which you showcase the value of your product or services

  • How-to videos in which you solve problems using your product or services

  • Educational videos in your niche. For example, you might build a website and you can explain what’s the difference between Wix and WordPress

  • Real estate videos (property tours, happy clients, before and afters)

  • Client testimonials

  • Restaurant videos (prepping your favorite meal, ingredients used, behind the scenes in the kitchen, etc.)

There are so many topics that you can use, and basically, you just have to start and keep doing it.

If you need extra help, just reply to this email with more details about your business and I will create 10 topic ideas for you to help you start your YouTube channel.

Good to know:

  • Instagram is testing a new profile feed with vertical rectangles. Keep this in mind when you are designing your cover photos.

  • LinkedIn has added a “Videos For You” section.

  • Meta activates Threads cross-posting from Facebook and Instagram. Now it’s super easy to post on Threads as well.
