🤔 How to build an engaged community around your business.
Yes, this is actually possible!
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes and 25 seconds
Hey friends, I'm back this week to discuss a very important thing that not so many business owners focus their attention on.
Are you ready?
Let's dive in.
Social media is more than just posting stuff about your product and services.
It's about actually being social and engaging with your audience in a meaningful way.
But how do you build an engaged community around your brand?
This is something that is actually built with time (if you are actually focusing on it), but here are some ideas for you:
Are you asking for any feedback from your clients/customers?
If so, create social media content around that and actually fix the problems that your products/services might have.
Guess who will be happy? Your audience, of course, because you actually listen!
Oh, and it's okay to let everyone know that you messed up.
Create content around that as well, and fix the issue.
Are you featuring your reviews online?
You might have some golden nuggets hidden in your reviews, but you are not creating content around that.
Your product/service solved a problem for someone, and they told you this in an awesome review.
Now it's time to use that and create content for other potential clients who want to buy your product and service.
You may even ask permission to tag the person in the post or invite them as a collaborator on Instagram.
They will feel honored to be featured and support their favorite business!
Are you replying to every single comment and DM?
Yes, you don't have time for this, or you are not getting many comments, BUT this is super valuable, and it will help you stay on top of things.
There is a reason why big companies use something called "social listening" and pay attention when someone mentions their company online.
It's important to know the good, the bad, and the ugly because you might find awesome people who love your brand!
Are you offering free stuff using your social media accounts?
These are called "lead magnets," and they can be free information that will help your potential client/customer in their buying decision.
Examples:
Pay attention to these 5 things when looking for your next home.
10 mistakes that business owners make when creating a website.
5 easy burger recipes that will make your weekends wonderful.
7 tips to help you find your next bookkeeper.
Biggest mistakes homeowners make when renovating their kitchen.
These are some examples of lead magnets where you can actually engage with your audience and make them like your company because of the information provided.
And on top of all, lead magnets are a great source of... you guessed it, leads.
You will capture their email address, and from here, you can send more marketing material about your business.
Super clever, and I will actually cover this topic in depth next week.
Keep an eye on your inbox.
