🕵️ Are you listening to what people say about your business online?
Here is how to do this like a professional
Estimated reading time: 2 minutes and 33 seconds
Hello everyone! Hope you are all having an amazing week so far!
Today’s topic will be a very interesting one, and it will help every single one of you to become better with your brand management online.
Is everyone ready?
Let’s dive in.
I was surprised to find out that not many business owners know about social listening.
What is social listening, you may ask?
Social listening is a strategy that helps you monitor and analyze conversations and trends happening around your brand, industry, or specific topics on social media platforms.
Pretty cool, isn’t it?
You can basically know each time when someone mentions your brand ANYWHERE on the social platforms.
Comments, posts, stories, hashtags, Google reviews, and some tools even let you track forums and blogs.
This is how Netflix and other big companies reply to a viral post and get tons of brand awareness.
Because they are using social listening and taking advantage of this in a very smart way.
Big companies know how important this is, but what if you can use the same strategy yourself?
You don’t need millions of comments, hashtags, stories, etc., to do this, and it can work for absolutely anyone in any niche.
You can have an e-commerce store, web design company, real estate business, you name it. It will work for you too.
Plus, your competition will be amazed by your skills, and they will wonder how many people you have hired to stay on top of things, when in fact you are just being smart.
I highly recommend getting familiarized with social listening and starting implementing this as soon as possible.
You will know the good and the bad about your company, and that’s totally fine.
That will be a great opportunity for you to reply to a customer that will value your company in a totally different way because you found them online and answered their concern.
However, most of the time, you will find positive comments about your product and services, and replying to those will help you convince other customers to work/buy from you.
Super simple, isn’t it?
You can use Hootsuite or Sprout Social to implement social listening (not affiliate, and I don’t get paid anything to mention them here).
You will find plenty of other tools if you search on Google for “social listening tool.”

What is conversion tracking and why does it matter?
Hopefully, you have already implemented this, but if not, here is what it means:
Conversion tracking is the process of tracking important actions that users take after interacting with an advertising or marketing campaign (organic traffic is included here too).
Without conversion tracking, you don’t really know how successful you are online and what actions users do on your website.
You want to know how many clicks you received on the “contact us” button or how many people have added products to their cart.
This is the foundation of all advertising and marketing online, and everyone should have a clear conversion tracking structure that will help them understand their marketing efforts.
Good to know:
YouTube: 40% of YouTube Shorts viewers don't use Instagram or TikTok. Another reason to start a YouTube Channel for your business as soon as possible.
Instagram will allow users to manually reset their recommendation algorithms across Explore, Reels, and Feed pages.
Bluesky is catching up after recently hitting a new milestone of 20 million users.
